Who would have known that chess requires stamina? All people not excusing myself regard chess as a MIND-CRACKING sport. Unlike other famous sports like basketball, volleyball, badminton, and the like, stamina is unquestionably an issue that needs action. But how does STAMINA become a necessity in CHESS?
Our trainer, Sir Rey Reyes told me, “During tournaments a player not only plays 1 game per day, he plays 2 or more games straight! If a person lacks stamina, his 1st game might be good but the succeeding games won’t be as good as the previous ones. This means WEAK STAMNA-WEAK BRAIN”
Now I understand…Chess is not only a mind-game after-all. To compare between chess players, it could be proven that those who are engaged in stamina-building activities are better players that those who are not. So now, I need to allot some of my time for exercise. [Time which I don’t have. L time which I now have hard control of due to other activities]
